2012 NACD Legislative Auction

NACD 2012 Annual Meeting • January 29 - February 1, 2012 • Las Vegas, NV

Join NACD for an exciting night of bidding!

Above are just some of the auction items featured at the 2012 NACD Live Auction. NACD's Live Auction has quite the reputation for unique custom-made items. We're convinced this auction will be our best yet! NACD receives items from districts and representatives across the country, ensuring there is always something for everyone–from jewelry, western art, vacation packages and much more.

Once again, this event will feature the "Draw Down" and Table Auction. NACD encourages attendees to begin shopping now and to start looking for those unusual or "hot" items guaranteed to raise bids. Proceeds from all Live Auction events go toward NACD's legislative activities. With Farm Bill just around the corner, this is a critical time to make sure our organization is equipped with the necessary resources to ensure your voice is heard on Capitol Hill.

NACD hopes every state will participate in the auction by submitting an item donation. This event is only possible through your support. If you have already selected your auction item, fill out a donation form and follow the written instructions. Donations submitted early may be showcased in the Live Auction catalog. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Tamara Daniel.

Live Auction Events

Auction night is a well-loved and highly-attended traditional auction.

Table Auction

The Table Auction is part of the Live Auction. It is a continuation of donated auction items in a silent auction format. The Table Auction will take place during the Live Auction, and is a fun and convenient way for auction attendees to bid on and purchase items of interest.

Draw Down

Players compete for the chance to win $500 cash. With only $20 in the pot, you can walk away a winner!
The holder of the winning ticket wins $500 cash.

  1. Tickets for the Draw Down are $20 each (cash only)
  2. A minimum of 50 tickets must be sold before the draw down can begin.
  3. In the event 50 tickets are not sold, all money will be refunded.
  4. The Draw Down will be conducted during the Live Auction.
  5. A few tickets will be drawn at intervals during the auction.
  6. The names on those tickets will be recorded on a flip chart.
  7. When a name appears on the flip chart, that person may buy back into the Draw Down for an additional $20 ONLY from the time their name first appears on the chart until the next round of tickets are drawn.
  8. When there are only 10 tickets left to be drawn, no one may buy back in to the Draw Down.
  9. The last 10 names will be called on to stand.
  10. These 10 tickets will be put back in the raffle cage for the final Draw Down.
  11. As the names are drawn, those people will be eliminated and asked to return to their seats.
  12. The last two people standing will each receive $500.

Online Auction Catalog

The online auction catalog will be updated as auction donations are confirmed, allowing meeting attendees to scope out auction items before the event. A printed catalogue will also be provided onsite in attendees' meeting registration packets.

Auction Item Donation

NACD is grateful to all of our generous members and partners who donate auction items to help make this fundraising effort a huge success. We encourage you to give early thought to your item donations for this year’s event. The sooner the auction items are donated, the more time we will have to promote your items. And remember, all donations are tax deductible.
