Larry Beeler
Madison Soil and Water Conservation District - Iowa

For more than 50 years, Larry Beeler has been dedicated to conservation, serving as a Madison County SWCD commissioner and farming the land. Larry’s years in conservation demonstrate great resolve and commitment as he works with other landowners to improve Iowa’s most precious natural resources. His work in local watersheds has paved the way for additional conservation practices to build on his successes and established partnerships. From 1988 to 1995, Larry Beeler stepped up to the national level representing Iowa on the NACD Board of Directors and then serving as NACD’s Secretary-Treasurer. Larry’s legacy extends beyond local and state boundaries, providing conservationists from across the country a dedicated, ethical role model and citizen.
