NACD President Steve Robinson selected NACD Board Member Pat Sueck as the recipient of the 2009 President’s Award. Robinson recognized Sueck’s willing, helpful attitude and desire to strengthen the Association, and expressed appreciation for her constant encouragement and support. Sueck emotionally accepted the honor, expressing her love for NACD and the many ways she personally has grown through her involvement with conservation districts.

As presented by NACD President Steve Robinson:
"One of the best parts of being the President is I have the privilege to choose one person who has been especially helpful to me and recognize that person in front of all of you. I thought about choosing one of my grandsons, but I couldn’t decide which one.  I’m kidding of course. 

The person I have selected as tonight’s President’s Award winner is no stranger to most of you. This person has been involved with NACD for longer than I have. The winner is a cheerleader, and is a positive influence who always wants to help find solutions. The winner truly has conservation in her heart. 

Today, you may have been hit up by the winner to become a Friend of NACD. She turned her walker into a rolling office and made it her personal mission to sign up as many new members as possible to our membership program.
