NCF Envirothon

Since 2014, the National Conservation Foundation (NCF) has been the organization responsible for the planning and execution of the NCF-Envirothon, an international environmental education competition engaging over 25,000 high school students every year. This year’s final international competition will take place July 26 – 31 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, Neb.

Since its inception, more than 10 million people have participated in the Envirothon program. Each year, the competition gives students from 4,000 public and private high schools in the United States and Canada the chance to get “up-close and personal” with natural resources. Envirothon offers both in-class curriculum and hands-on field experiences focused around ecology, natural resource management, and current environmental issues. This unique combination of learning experiences and breadth of study is part of what has made the Envirothon a huge success with students and educators in the United States, Canada and China.

If you are interested in sponsoring an Envirothon event or competition, contact NCF Executive Director Jeremy Peters.
