March 21 – Free
We, the Anchorage Soil and Water Conservation District, are excited to invite you to our second Annual Local Work Group Open House! The event will take place on Friday, March 21st, from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at our office located at 911 W 8th Ave #101, Anchorage, AK 99501. Purpose of the Meeting: This gathering is a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know each other (whether for the first time or again) and strengthen our collaboration. We aim to better understand our shared values and goals for building a stronger, more sustainable Anchorage.
About Us: Anchorage SWCD is actively involved in four key programs

Invasive Species
Urban Agriculture
Natural Resources on JBER
We work closely with grassroots organizations, local landowners, and community members to promote the conservation and respectful use of natural resources, including local food production. As part of our commitment to the community, we tailor our priorities and programs based on feedback from local stakeholders, and your voice will also be shared with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services.
