Building Resilient Communities: Parks, Pollinators and other ways to strengthen your communities

02/18/2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm – Free

The next NACD Urban and Community (U&C) Conservation webinar, scheduled for 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Eastern on Feb. 18, 2021, will feature the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and its efforts to promote pollinator conservation with its Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz event.

The webinar will include a presentation from Michele White, NRPA conservation program manager, on the association’s strategies to promote conservation, equity, health and wellness in communities across the country through parks and a variety of programs and resources.

Specifically, White will discuss how NRPA engages communities in their Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz event. As a one-day intense survey of pollinators, the BioBlitz helps to educate attendees about pollinators and also gains important data for the maintenance of public spaces as habitat to protect pollinators.

These popular webinars, held on the third Thursday of each month, are sponsored by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation in partnership with the NACD Urban and Community Resource Policy Group. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
