NACD U&C Webinar: Lawn of the Future
Lawn of the Future is the topic of the next NACD Urban and Community Conservation webinar, scheduled for 12:00noon-1:00pm Eastern time, on March 21, 2019.
An emerging R&D concept at the Scotts Miracle Gro Company, “Lawn of the Future”, shows how an array of innovations are working together to allow homeowners to have a beautiful outdoor space even as water resources become increasingly limited in the future. Scientist Phil Dwyer, aka Dr Phil the Lawn Doctor, will review this holistic approach to backyard conservation covering all the aspects of lawn and garden care including sustainable grass varieties, targeted fertilization, smart watering and drip irrigation. Participants will gain new insights on new ways to enhance the water use efficiency of lawns both through the evaluation of new smart watering technologies and the best cultural practices for protecting water resources.
These popular webinars, held on the third Thursday of each month, are sponsored by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation in partnership with the NACD Urban and Community Resource Policy Group. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. To register, email Debra Bogar at deb-bogar[at]nacdnet.org WITH your name, title, district or business name, state and email address. Information to access the webinar will be sent by email.
