NACD developed this training module in 2014 through the generous support of the Walton Family Foundation. This interactive video includes training on leadership expectations of district boards, determining the proper roles for district board members and staff, political advocacy, shaping public opinion, how to craft an elevator speech, coalition building and more.


Leadership and Advocacy Training for Conservation Districts

Interested in learning how you can become a more effective leader and advocate for conservation? Designed for conservation district officials, and made possible through the generous support of the Walton Family Foundation, this PowerPoint presentation was used in an interactive training session developed by NACD staff and leadership explores topics including: leadership expectations, political engagement, shaping public opinion, gaining positive media coverage, and developing and expanding partnerships.
