2019 Conservation Careers Workshop

The Conservation Careers workshop is an opportunity to introduce current college students to the history, trends and current careers in the field of conservation.

Acceptance into the program is on a competitive basis. Applicants are evaluated by a selection committee for their academic and professional experience, as well as an essay on an assigned topic. The top ranking individuals are provided scholarship support to attend the workshop, with approximately 10 students enrolling in the training in 2019. Presentations in the workshop cover a range of topics, featuring conservation partners and speakers from public and private sectors. With valued sponsor support, NACD anticipates being able to provide this opportunity at future annual meetings for years to come.
