2022 Annual Meeting Conservation Symposia
The Conservation Symposia will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16.
Conservation Innovation Symposium
Hosted by the National Conservation District Employees Association (NCDEA)
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Palm 5
Rooted in the locally led conservation process, Local Work Groups (LWG) make the connection between districts, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), state and local partners, and producers to work through identifying opportunities and challenges in natural resources conservation. This input helps guide local decision making and can influence state, regional and national program and policy development.
Join the National Conservation District Employees Association in a session featuring a mock LWG meeting, along with the history, purpose, and usefulness of LWG.
Urban and Community Conservation Symposium
8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

This symposium will highlight past grantees through NACD’s Urban Agriculture Conservation grant initiative about their various project activities and how they have engaged their communities through urban agriculture and conservation. Presenters will share strategies related to working with new partners, hosting events, and targeting their activities to new or different audiences. Additionally, representatives from NACD’s Urban and Community RPG will host a mini-listening session with attendees to ensure we are meeting the needs of conservation districts within the urban and community conservation space.
Presenters:
