Pack-A-Book 2026

Support the Pack-A-Book Donation Drive at the NACD 2026 Annual Meeting

The 2026 Annual Meeting marks the 17th year of NACD’s community outreach program, Pack-A-Book. Through the generosity of Annual Meeting attendees, NACD has donated more than 1,300 books to elementary schools, libraries, and conservation-based education programs in our host communities across the country.

We are excited to invite you to participate in Pack-A-Book at the 2026 NACD Annual Meeting. Attendees may purchase a book through the Pack-A-Book Amazon Wish List or from a favorite local bookseller to donate. All donated books will be displayed on the Pack-A-Book shelf at the Stewardship and Education booth in the Annual Meeting Expo.

In celebration of the 2026 Stewardship Week theme, Soil. Where It All Begins., this year’s Pack-A-Book collection will highlight soil, earth science, habitats, and the natural systems that support life. These books help introduce young readers to the importance of soil and natural resource conservation in an engaging and accessible way.

How to Participate

Participating is easy. Simply visit the Pack-A-Book wish list, select a book, and choose how you would like to contribute.

Ship Directly — Ship the book directly to NACD’s Stewardship and Education Coordinator, who will ensure it arrives at the meeting and is proudly displayed on the Pack-A-Book shelf.

Pack it to Bring — Have the book shipped to you and bring it with you to the Annual Meeting. Each donated book will include a Title Book Donation Form placed inside the front cover. Donations may be made anonymously, from an individual, a conservation district, or in honor or memory of a loved one, mentor, librarian, or teacher. This is a meaningful way to recognize those who helped spark a love of learning and conservation.

Why Pack-A-Book Matters

Reading is a powerful tool that opens doors to understanding, curiosity, and stewardship. By participating in Pack-A-Book, you are doing more than donating a book. You are helping foster literacy, environmental awareness, and a lifelong connection to conservation in young learners.

All donated books will be distributed through the local conservation district to schools, public libraries, and conservation education programs in the Annual Meeting host community.

Let’s work together to inspire the next generation of conservationists through the simple and lasting gift of reading.
